Rio Salado College’s Italian-American Cooking for Beginners Workshop

Cook like a pro by mastering these 3 Italian-American classics: Chicken Francaise, Baked Ziti, and Caesar Salad.

The United States is a melting pot of cultures. Many of our favorite foods today are versions of what immigrants originally brought over from their homelands. There are many dishes that we refer to as “Italian”, but you most likely won’t find them in Italy. One thing is for sure, they are delicious nonetheless. After learning to make these three dishes, students will dine on their creations.

Rio Salado culinary workshops are designed for the beginner and are fun and low pressure. Workshops are hands on and participants will be standing for the majority of the workshop. Workshops are generally made up of 12 students and we work in teams. We want the group to work safe, learn new techniques and recipes to their culinary repertoire and most importantly, HAVE FUN! Proper kitchen attire is required which includes: closed toe shoes, long pant and long or short sleeve shirt. Please restrain hair while in the kitchen
