Rio Salado College’s Homemade Pasta Sauces Workshop

Are you tired of store bought pasta sauces?  Do you want to learn 3 easy pasta dishes to add to your culinary repertoire?  If the answer is yes, this workshop is for you.  Workshop students will work with a professional chef to prepare 3 different pasta dishes that are versatile enough for a weekday dinner or for a special event.  Students will learn to make basil pesto and toss it will pasta, shrimp and peas.  Additionally, students will prepare an absolute classic, creamy Fettuccine Alfredo.  Finally, tantalize your senses with a vibrant Spaghetti Amatriciana which derives it’s kick from chile flakes and pancetta bacon. Towards the end of the workshop you will get to enjoy all of your creations.

Rio Salado culinary workshops are designed for the beginner and are fun and low pressure. Workshops are hands on and participants will be standing for the majority of the workshop. Workshops are generally made up of 12 students and we work in teams. We want the group to work safe, learn new techniques and recipes to their culinary repertoire and most importantly, HAVE FUN! Proper kitchen attire is required which includes: closed toe shoes, long pant and long or short sleeve shirt. Please restrain hair while in the kitchen.
