• Identify what types of plants will do well grown in containers

• Understand how to prepare the soil for container gardening

• Match the size of plant to the right container size

• Know how to maintain a container garden

Presented by Master Gardener Doreen Pollack

Doreen has been a Master Gardener since 2009.  She loves to teach people how to garden in the harsh low desert. She turned her front yard in a downtown Phoenix Historic District into an edible garden where a lush Bermuda grass lawn used to be. She has frequented the Master Gardener stage at Home and Garden Shows, been a guest on Channel 12 News, taught gardening through The Desert Botanical Garden and teaches gardening classes throughout the Valley. Her classes are filled with real-life tips that she has learned through her training and personal experience.
